Eat For Life Dietetics
The world of food, nutrition and health can be incredibly confusing. There is so much information made readily available online and through social media and unfortunately it is not always easy to know which advice is “good” advice when it all seems to come from so called and often self-proclaimed experts in these fields.
Accredited Practising Dietitians are also qualified nutritionists and are recognised as experts in food and nutrition and the role they play within our body. Dietitians are trained in science, nutrition, health and medical nutrition therapy. This means Dietitians can support clients to reach their health and nutrition goals whether there is a disease involved or not. Dietitians are specialised in behaviour change and should offer an un-biased, science based and client centric approach.
Hi! I am Mikaela and I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian & Nutritionist and the Founder of Eat for Life Dietetics, based in Brisbane, Queensland. I became a dietitian for two reasons, firstly that I am passionate about health and the role that food plays in it and secondly because I love food! I believe that food can and should be both enjoyable and nourishing.
I have worked for the past eight years as a Dietitian & Nutritionist in private practice across North Brisbane. My journey in private practice started with taking on a broad range of clients with varying nutrition and health needs. I very quickly found that I gravitated towards working with people living with a disability and people struggling with mental health disorders and have particularly enjoyed working within the area of women’s health.
I enjoy exploring each client’s unique relationship with food and health and love it when I can support a client to achieve their goals. I believe that I work so successfully with these clients because of my compassionate and caring nature and my ability to listen without judgment to what each client has to say and to be adaptive in my approach.

I believe that I work so successfully with these clients because of my compassionate and caring nature and my ability to really listen without judgment to what each client has to say and to be adaptive in my approach.
I eventually decided to branch out on my own and created Eat for Life Dietetics to allow me to practice as a Dietitian and Nutritionist on my own terms and in my own way and in doing so, I hope to support many more people to achieve their nutrition and health goals.

Sarah is passionate about supporting individuals to create a more peaceful, trusting relationship with food. Her approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity and connection — she listens deeply, and walks alongside her clients to help them nourish their bodies in ways that feel safe, empowering and sustainable.
Sarah became a dietitian through her love of food and the way it brings people together. She believes that food is not just fuel, but a source of comfort, identity, and joy — and that every person deserves access to support that honours both their nutritional needs and their lived experience.
She brings over a decade of experience from hospital, community and private practice settings across Queensland, and has worked with people navigating a wide range of challenges — including mental health concerns, eating difficulties, neurodivergence, chronic illness, and disability. Sarah has a particular interest in working with neurodivergent children (aged 4+), women’s health, and supporting individuals and families living with disability.
Sarah is especially passionate about helping families create mealtime environments that feel less stressful and more connected. She provides practical, individualised strategies that reduce overwhelm and support long-term autonomy around food.
Whether someone is feeling stuck in rigid eating patterns, struggling to meet their nutrition needs, or just wanting support that feels less clinical and more human — Sarah offers a gentle, non-judgemental space to explore food in a way that aligns with their goals and values.
Her approach is holistic and person-centred — always starting with where you’re at, and working together to make nourishing changes that feel doable, meaningful and kind.
